God love a duck why don't these writers hire a good proofreader or give it to a friend before publishing. I really hope it's the transcription to Kindle that's the issue and these books aren't being published like this. Stories are OK. This author had no business taking what towed the line as incestuous in nature, and trying to make a love story out of it. Horrible and cringe-worthy.
This story is about two people who are friends. The young man , who is trying to get a business deal with a company who values family only, comes up with a proposal to fake an engagement with his friend . In the mist of this they realized that they actually love one another and the engagement become real.
This book was a quick, clean read. Dana and Andrew are train buddies. Andrew needs a fiancé in order to get a new project. He makes Dana the proposition who initially declines. Her sister Maya changed her tune real quick which I thought was pretty selfish. Andrew flies off the handle over a misunderstanding. The characters were in but really nothing special, the story itself lacked spark for me.
This could happen in reality. There are stranger things. This had grown azzz adults acting almost as if they were teens back in high school. The meeting on the bus. The obsessing from a far. The desire to impress. The other wanting to achieve. The sabatoage. The petty jealousy.
This was a clean read that gave me high school drama in an adult work place setting. But Dana & Andrew do find the right formula with tsome help and a push from Maya.
This was a great read! Overall, this story has a good ‘simmering’ effect. Everything seems calm on the surface at the beginning, but then things start to kind of go off the rails, with everything culminating when Dana punches Marcel in the face on the train.
Andrew Poole is a successful businessman with a serious problem. His latest project has the potential to catch the eye of coveted Westcorp as a funding partner, but there’s a caveat Westcorp is notoriously selective about the sort of person they work with. Andrew is the face the project—and they won’t sign the deal unless he’s a husband!
There are a few unfavorable options to choose from, but in the end, Andrew finds himself asking Dana to play his fiancée for a couple weeks—just a couple weeks!—until the papers are signed and the project is underway.
Doubtful and hesitant, Dana agrees. What started off as an odd-sounding plan becomes more complicated as Dana and Andrew both start to lose track of what’s acting and what’s real. They begin to wonder what’s going to happen when this arrangement is over—if they can just make it through these two weeks!
Four Stars...Loved it
Andrew and Dana had the perfect life although business made it necessary to have a fake romance. Lying. Yet there were feelings and with love sometimes those feelings got hurt but making up was worth it. And like the fairy tale they got married and lived happily ever after.
